Missouri State sounds like a made-up school from a TV show... like, Jerry Van Dyke should coach their defense.
Is this a joke?

Do some research you fool.

It was facetious... but having to do research kinda demonstrates what I'm talking about. I never had to research ECU, SMU, or Tulane. I'll say it again, though: good luck with what you're trying to do. I'm sure Missouri State has some positives, I'm just not exactly pumped up about being in a football conference with y'all.

Their president and ad have said as much and quite frankly, that can't afford it.

They're about to get their second 7 figure donation in 2 weeks this weekend.

For basketball....they are building a 12 million dollar practice facility. They have no interest in starting football.

That's refreshing. Go VCU.

My point was just that they obviously have some supporters with deep pockets.

They do have "wealth" in their name.

False. They had one of the worst donating fan bases in the entire Caa, the donation was made by a private company in Richmond who wants to be associated with the med school.

They are an art school. Their alums are not big time donors. The final 4 increased their donations by quite a bit but long term? Who knows.

Regardless, they are in for 12 mil on a practice facility and nearly 2 mil a year to shaka smart. They also gave up all of their final 4 winnings when they left the Caa.

They aren't starting football within the next decade. Period.

You guys obviously aren't paying close attention to the situation. Read their message board, their fans don't even want football! They bag it at every turn.

I live in Richmond, trust me, VCU isn't starting football, and if they were going to it'd be a good 10 years out.

Don't blame you one bit, I wouldn't be either.

That's one positive MO State has. Because the MO Valley Football Conference is a separate entity from the MVC, we could still be all sports in everything minus football until improvements are completed.

I'm down with CUSA adding some quality basketball schools. Although I would lean more towards all-sports members programs but at a time of such upheavel, I wouldn't mind if Bano went outside of the box with the traditional realignment process.

Sure, lets slice the pie up further to 'shore up' our basketball or to work on our 'footprint.'

Why are we even discussing expansion? We are at 14 teams right now. The only reason we should be taking in teams is if we lose more teams or, highly unlikely, unnamed conference teams want to rejoin C-USA.

Plain and simple: You're either in for all available sports... or you're not in.

Yes, Hybrid sports league suck.. even more so than hybrid cars do :)

Hybrid league? First time I am using this but LMFAO

We just saw a hybrid league, the Big East, fall to pieces. Why repeat the same exact mistake?

Yep, Charlotte found this out the hard way at the end of CUSA 1.0.

I think these questions were good ones to ask before our expansion binge. Now, it's pretty irrelevant.
