Field and weather conditions may have played just a small tiny factor in that game. I think we passed the ball maybe 4 times.

Excuses, excuses.

I always giggle whenever I see a Memphis fan talk smack

It's going to be hilarious if Memphis walks into Papa Johns and steals one. 05-stirthepot

I don't know about that. Maybe you will do better than the 56-0 whipping we put on you in 2010.

Krux, his key word was "at" South Florida. We've won there once.

Fair enough

The refs did suck and it was one sided. .

The opinion is your right, but saying so is making an "excuse" for losing. He brought it up, not me.

It IS hilarious though that we have a 7 page thread bashing us and we hadn't said one word on this board about our schedule. Ya'll mad?

This thread was created to take shots at Louisville. Nonetheless the success in our entire athletic department negates any of it.

Your defense would not have a clue what to do with some good ol' fashioned Houston-bred offense when it gets moving like it did in 2009-2011. We had an off year in 2012, and we're looking to have that fixed by the time we come to that Colonel Sanders town of yours.

Sincerely,
Cougars

Yeah and i'm sure Charlie Strong is really worried about that game "sigh". The bottom line is people can complain about Louisville fans being confident all they want. We have a "legitimate" reason to feel good about our team coming back next season. The only real threats I see on our schedule is Cincy and USF. Cincy because they have a good team coming back(should be top 25 mid season) and USF because we have had problems playing their even though we won fairly easy last time. I know Rutgers lost a bit off last years team but they've had 3 really good recruiting classes.

We have a roster chalk full of true sophomores and juniors who played most of the snaps last year. I just don't see any reason why any Louisville fan should not be confident. Just like when UC went undefeated in 09 they easily had the best team that year going into the season and they proved it. Its not that they were unbeatable but it would have taken a C game from them and a A+ game from the others. The only other team in that ball park that year was Pitt who was also very good. Its not to say we will go undefeated because that is difficult to do and if we stay injury free we should be favored in all of our games. Plus this is our deepest team we have had since we won the orange bowl in 07. Certainly our best offense and defense we've had since 07. Last year we were a year ahead of schedule this has been the year most louisville fans have been pointing to since strong was hired. No louisville fan thought we would have had the year we had last year given how young our team was.

Yeah I would say that is pretty hilarious. I just find it hilarious that people are upset that Louisville fans are "actually" happy about the team they will field next year.lol I guess Cincy had no reason to be confident in 09 or WVU in 05.

How are the hard games at papa Johns when we play @UC which is arguably our toughest game. Plus we play @USF where we have historically not played well. If I remember correctly UCONN beat us LAST YEAR AT HOME last season and we play them in East Hartford this year! I don't envision playing @UCONN being a cake walk either.

The loss to your team hurt me worse than the loss to Cuse. Not because Teddy got hurt, but because we could not run the ball. We will have two weeks to prepare for your hard nose defense. Our running game next year is going to surprise many teams. Coach Strong knows the best way to protect Teddy is with a strong run game.

If I had to guess our regular season record next year, I would say 10-2 with a loss to An old team and a loss to a new team.04-cheers

I see another 2005 or 2007 score coming. 45-14 or 55-17 USF. Taggart will have USF at the top FAST. Dude is a recruiting machine. Kids want to play for him. He built WKU from the worst team in country to bowl team by recruiting FL kids to Bowling Green KY.

No. making an excuse, would be like MEmphsi fans blaming the refs for allowing Louisville to come back and beat Memphis on their home court in basketball earlier this year.

You mean the basketball game this year that had the refs reprimanded for their horrocious calls in that game? 05-stirthepot

So having the league acknowledge something is more proof than seeing a monsoon with your own eyes? Jeez, here I was thinking they were BOTH excuses...but hey, obviously I don't know what I'm talking about.
