Getting open shots against a zone is how you beat a zone. Our kids did indeed miss a lot of open shots early...happens. Was not a systematic failure...when they were 9-27, many of those 18 misses open looks, that was not scheme.

Southern was trying to win too.

The two front ends at the end of regulation notwithstanding, or kids showed huge balls. Massive shots with pressure way up.

Chris' late threes.
Joe's tying shot in overtime.
Adonis' shot with a one point lead in double overtime.
Geron made a big three.
Chris again.
Joe- strong defense at the end of OT.
Joe, steal and sealing dunk.
Chris! Goodness!

I agree, Mimi. The game had a definite NCAA tournament feel to it. I was heartened to see Adonis, Joe, Chris and Geron each hit bigtime clutch shots in those OTs.
