Toss up...we probably have as many wannabe Duke fans as UNCheat fans. I have been to the ACC Tournament and the Big East Tournament. There is absolutely no comparison between the two. The Big East Tournament in MSG is a far superior entertainment product IMO. With that said the ACC definitely just took a big step towards becoming the best Basketball Conference in the country with the addition of Louisville, Syracuse, Pitt and Notre Dame. Charlotte and Greensboro will never be able to replicate the draw of Madison Square Garden in Manhatten. If the ACC could figure out how to get there tournament in NYC in either Manhatten or the Bronx it would be a better Tournament and I am sure that upsets members of the Tobacco Road mafia and the journalist who think ACC Basketball = UNCheat, NCST, Duke and Wake.

Uh...why would you go to the Bronx? Where are you playing those games? Yankee stadium? hahahaha

RE: MSG vs. The Greensboro Coliseum
this thread made me chuckle... the acc going forward will have the best bb brand out of all the power 5 conferences... you're lookin at week in and week out, premier matches...

you would be stupid not to consider some bigger venues in bigger cities when you have the best bb brand... you would be stupid to ignore the history of acc tourny at greensboro...

personally id do a rotation between greensboro and msg/barclays or even greensboro, msg/barclays, and atlanta/orlando...

MSG will never agree to a rotation.

Also the B1G is no slouch. OSU, IU, Mich, Wisc, Mary, MSU

MWC with UNLV, New Mexico, San Diego State, Colorado State, and Utah State (Next season). Very underrated conference.

RE: MSG vs. The Greensboro Coliseum
The ACC needs to integrate MSG into their conference tournament rotation and there shouldn't be a debate. I understand and agree that the ACC shouldn't abandon their North Carolina roots, but the league would be stupid not to go to NYC on at least a rotational basis.

Except like Pete Thamel himself said, they would need to agree to a long term deal with MSG. Something the ACC wouldn't be willing to commit to.

Brooklyn is more likely but thats only if they have an out like MSG does about membership change so they can get out of their A-10 contract.
