i think tallgrass has said that before. new big east = old cusa. new cusa = old sun belt. new sunbelt = old div. iaa

Tulsa has more history with the 2014 Big East football schools than they have against CUSA 2014-2015 teams.
yep

The Liberty bowl Rule was put into place by the SEC. Liberty agreed to it simply because it was a take it or leave it deal. Plus in the last contract the BE was guaranteed a spot in it. Tenn didn't want any chance of playing Memphis, UF wouldn't want to play UCF, Nor the Miss schools USM, nor would and ALA team want to play UAB. It sucks for USM that they got shut out of it, but don't blame CUSA, CUSA couldn't have killed the rule without losing the bowl totally..

To be honest the SEC didn't want a CUSA team there period. But held their nose to get the game which they did want.

Tulsa is wanting to move (with a majority of their current neighbors) , to the new neighborhood.

Tulsa has more history with the 2014 Big East football schools than they have against CUSA 2014-2015 teams.

The "history" of our good neighbors and friends is that they dumped Tulsa at the first opportunity. In fact, they were so happy dumping Tulsa that they flew Banners in Times Square.

Your good neighbors and friends really don't want you. Trouble is, Rutgers, Louisville, Boise, and SDSU told Arseco-12 "Thanks, but no thanks!" The prestigious Nbe/Arseco-12 is now desparate, but as desparate as they were, they still waited, waited, waited, until forced to take Tulsa as the last invite.

There is a message in all this....Tulsa better be looking over its back. If I were Tulsa, I would keep very, very good relations with our old CUSA colleagues and new CUSA colleagues. As my business advisor told me, never kick someone in the rear end so hard that you won't be able to kiss it someday if need be.

The Nbe is a lateral transfer accompanied by a boatload of instability and an unimpressive tv contract. So unimpressive, that Arseco still hasn't announced its details.

LOL its not even close to a lateral transfer. Its a move up from a conference that is basically a few Sun Belt members + USM and UAB, aka a HUGE upgrade in conference quality as well as a significant increase in both money and tv exposure. Your inane attachment to the Conference USA name is ridiculous. Conference USA is now the A-12/whatever it will be called. Tulsa finally caught a break here to get out of the mess that CUSA has developed into.

I'd like to officially welcome Tulsa to the Metropolitan Collegiate Conference.

As for your C-USA mates, I feel confident 1 or more will join you in the MCC if the need arises.
