Well they weren't given respect this year. That is why they finished 4th in the Big East and got an 8 seed. Historically the lowest the 4th place team in the Big East has ever been seeded if 5th. This seeding was a total indictment on what the tournament commitee thinks of Pitt. Which is sh*t!
