When UT and OU leave they will move up to the top tier.

Ah, so you still think WVU will end up in the ACC then? 05-stirthepot

I think they belong in the ACC but I doubt then end up there unless there are major defections.

To anserr your question, nearly 80% of ALL realignment rumors can be trace back to fans of West Virginia, hoping to undermine the ACC, spread doubt among fans (of those who read internet sites), and make people beleive that the entire college football world is just dying to join the Big XII. Thus in contrast, you will see occasional jabs at West Virginia. Just look at this thread entitled It's Over from the West Virginia Scout board.

In short, that's why!

RE: WVU fan to Adrea Adelson
I was another Cardinal fan that wanted to see the New Big East work. But once Rutgers got picked up by the B1G, I finally realized the Big East was doomed no matter what it did. Soon Boise and SDSU decided to bail afterwards and I couldn't blame those schools for doing so. When we got into the ACC I was very very happy and very very sad at the same time. The Big East was the perfect conference for Louisville. The ACC will be very close to being the same kind of fit so all is good, but I was really looking forward to being in the same conference with Memphis, Marquette, and Cincy. I'm an old school Cardinal fan and I still value the rivalries with those schools because of the history and commonalities we share. I still hold out hope that UC and UConn can be brought aboard the conference.

As for WVU, they can rot in the cow pie conference for all I care. I'm so glad my school didn't wind up in that conference.

Agree 100% the ACC is the best conference to be in. I will also pull for the Metro or whatever it's called our last year in it. Can't say the same for the C7 though.

Eh. I hate UCF and I hate Memphis. The leagues I will root for, in order...

1. ACC
2. ACC
3. ACC
4. Big East (C7)
5. ACC

Of course next year I'll root for Conference TBD but that's only because I like Cincy, UConn and USF and we will need the other schools to be strong to help our SOS.
