I wish it had a better timeslot. I already have a hard enough time shuffling watching The Voice/Revolution, HIMYM/TBG, and American Pickers/Pawn Stars.

The BBC Top Gear is one of the "must see" shows on TV for a car guy, or even just a fan of pretty good humor.
I'm not a fan of the US version however.

I think American version is finding their groove just need to reattempt to add in the stapes of BBC TG like the reviews and such. Maybe go for a tighter turnaround or tape the news/review segments closer to air date? Cause the episodes premiering now were filmed last Fall/Winter.

Me, too. I love the UK version, and have never gotten into the US version.

U.S. version is getting better. It does not help that they often copy BBC episodes. Because I have seen the original, U.S. copy it is not funny. When they do more original stuff it is OK.

The only problem is.. the UK guys have been around for how many seasons/series now though? So it's hard not to do "copies". The RV episode would have been absolutely hilarious if the UK guys hadn't done it first..

Ripper Street, Doctor Who, and Top Gear UK are brilliant pieces of programming. Haven't had the chance to see any of the other shows.

I like the Law & Order UK edition, too, but they rip off exact story lines from the US version, as well. Funny that it goes both ways.

Obviously Top Gear's success speaks for how witty that show is (even if you're not a car fan), and I find Law and Order: UK to be fantastic. Ripper Street isn't my cup of coffee, but it's definitely not a bad series at all. In all honesty, BBC America has some of the best programming in the industry right now; I'm glad most of their stuff is on Netflix (Peep Show being the greatest comedy of all time haha!).
AMC may fight ya on that statement, BUT BBCA and AMC are both currently ahead of HBO and Showtime(esp with Dexter about to start final season).

All i can say is... if anyone spoils this before I get back from dinner tonight (some brazillian buffet), I'm gonna come hunt you down and go "Eagle!' on your ass (and that's the pre elL12 version of Eagle!)

Dammit, when you said "Go Eagle on your ass", I was gonna throw an 0-12 blast at you, but you guys just took a series from us this weekend. Oh well, I agree with the BBC programming comments. I'm a fan.

I don't think that I've ever seen a part of Who where the companion was the adventure themselves. Usually they're both kind of led on by the TARDIS to various places for various reasons. Now the companion seems to have everything to be known within themselves and it's up for the Doctor to pull it out.

That's Moffat's writing style. He "loves" to give you the key tie-in of the season early on (and then lets you see the connections through each episode) where as Davies preferred to play "we'll throw the little clues" in throughout the season, before giving you the big storyline reveal in the last couple of episodes.
(although i loved all the references to the previous Doctors that were started... Hopefully, there'll be some more along the way (references to the classics, as they count down to the 50th anniversary...)

Let's get to the real news though, Orphan Black is REALLY REALLY REALLY good. Not great yet but I think as the season progresses we'll know more how it stands.
