Exclamation Highlights of Spring Practice/Games
Here's a place for everyone to post links to videos about Spring practice and/or their Spring game (being mindful not to violate any copyrights, naturally).

The first game has already been played - Virginia played their spring game this weekend. Here are some highlights - LINK.

I had $50 riding on UVA winning that game, but I missed the end score. Who won?
(I'm joking)

RE: Highlights of Spring Practice/Games
Pitt had their game tonight. I was traveling and didn't get to see it. But got great feedback from guys like Joey (Clairton Panther). Very quick take aways...

5th year senior transfer QB Tom Savage was OK... a dropped ball in the end zone did him no favors.
Red Shirt freshman QB Chad Voytik looked great. I read 27/33 and 358 yds and three TD passes. Also, very elusive and accurate.
No matter what this has to be better than Tino.
O-line looked much improved.
Seem to be using multiple TE sets and their is a lot of talant there too.
RB Isaac Bennett (Shell's replacement) isn't as powerfull as Shell but better break a way speed. Not much depth after him.
Defense was missing was two of their best players but still looked soft.

For those that were there... was that about right? Oh and Pitt won!

RE: Highlights of Spring Practice/Games
RE: Florida State - haven't had time to watch any of the game (but I plan to look at all of them on ESPN3 later).

Q: Why was Kenny Shaw so explosive? Did he outrun the defenders, was it blown coverage, or what? Is he just THAT fast?

Q2: Tackles - seems like you have the big play "D" going again. Lots of sacks, INTs returned for TD, etc. Do you think it's legit, since they were playing against teammates?

First I would like to say Shaw, Greene and Benjamin are legit threats any time they are on the field. Since the middle of last year people have been saying this is Shaw's time and now expect bigger and better things from him this year, he has really come along under Coach Fishers system
Second and this is probably the most important, those numbers put up by the WR's can be because of a few things.
We have some injuries to our secondary. 2 of our best corners weren't playing. Next, we had 1 scholarship RB playing, again due to injuries, so guess what?? Air Raid 04-rock
Our top rushers was a RB, and a WR (Benjamin), the other rushers were of course the QB's.

The answer to your second question would be to look for more of an aggressive type of Defense this year
Stoops played a lot of Zone D, Pruitt (former Alabama secondary coach) does take more chances with his Defense, lots of blitz packages. This is one reason why our 5* LB Christian Jones decided to come back for his final year. I think the D is legit this year but that remains to be seen, the players are happy with the more aggressive approach though.
