Traditionally it's been up to the home team to determine whether the games will be home or a neutral site. The home team will have a choice to make. Play the game at home and benefit by selling more season tickets or play at a neutral site and make more money off the gate with the larger seating capacity. It also benefits to get exposure in larger markets.

I don't think the ACC cares because whatever the home team chooses the ACC still gets the tv revenue for "away" games even if they are played at a neutral site. Notre Dame won't get to dictate where they will play when they play as the away team.

If teams had a contract with nd then they would try to honor it. Therefore syracuse game is prescheduled as is pitt for 2014- therefore really only 3 acc games open. Also nd and acc agreed that 2014 start with 3 home at nd. Therefore nd will play at fsu as marquee game and at meadowlands a cuse home game. The game at nd will be pitt nc state and vt- it won't mean exactly next yr they flip location. But nd will travel to every acc venue once every 6 years

03-cloud9, some of these games can be neutral site games. In fact, I think that the ACC may be counting on that fact.

ND provides the dates, the ACC provides the teams. Who decides where the games are :cloud9:played? I think it will all depend on what provides the maximum exposure and/or revenues.

I don't think it is an accident that ND is going to play at FSU in 2014. That agreement was likely made to help satisfy FSU's concerns about ticket sales, OOC home game opponents, etc..

2014 - 11 games scheduled - 2 ACC with Pitt and Cuse - add 1 ACC team.

2015 - 10 games scheduled - 2 ACC with Pitt and Cuse - add 2 ACC teams.

2016 - 10 games scheduled - 3 ACC with Pitt, Cuse, and BC - add 2 ACC teams and now the 5 game ACC schedule is in full swing.

2017 - 8 games scheduled - 1 ACC with Cuse - add 4 ACC teams
2018 - 6 games scheduled - 1 ACC with BC - add 4 ACC teams
2019 - 6 games scheduled - 1 ACC with BC - add 4 ACC teams

Did Syracuse just use all their quotas in this string and will not play ND again until 2040?

no 2 of the 4 games will be reworked (2015 and 2016) while 2014 and 2017 will stay on
