FB realignment will slow down and then out of the blue someone will make a move that will shock us at first then most will claim they saw it coming.

There are only 5 leagues who have no worry about being raided.

B1G
SEC
Pac 12
Big East (now that it doesn't sponsor FB)
Ivy

You can go ahead and claim to be shocked when it happens, but I won't and yes I will claim to have seen it coming because the individual moves arent what matter here, it is the end game. How we get there is still relatively up in the air but we Will get there. When it happens and when it becomes evident just how much it is going to help the Institutions taking part, then it will be obvious why some folks say they see it coming.

Oh i think moves will happen but everyone will be shocked by the team invited by the conference no one saw coming. How many people actually thought the B1G would invite Rutgers? Sure it was thrown around a little but mostly dismissed as just unrealistic.

Something crazy like the Pac 12 taking the 2 Kansas schools or the SEC taking Cincy and UConn or the B1G taking UK and Tenn.

True, Rutgers was a surprise. I don't know about Cincy and UConn to the SEC. I remember that rumor but immediately thought it was bogus. The talk of the B1G taking UK and Tenn just doesnt make sense either but the idea of both Kansas schools ending up in a future form of the PAC...well....to me that doesn't seem as crazy.

I wasn't saying those would actually happen just examples of crazy moves that would shock everyone.

Too late I'm running with this. My Bearcats are SEC bound!!!! 02-13-banana

There is still going to be plenty of shock and awe before it's all over.

Why would they agree to do that? They wouldn't make much more money and have zero say in their conference and held at the whims of FB interests. Now they are a power player in a power bball focused conference.

Not really, once Rutgers left and the ACC was deciding between UConn and UofL it was a no brainer that the C7 were breaking off. Even if you are correct it's still a bad move for the reasons I stated above.

I wouldn't include the Big East in there. Georgetown and possibly Villanova could end up being targets of some form of the ACC.

And St. John's. Nice to have the choice of either Temple or Villanova depending whether we'd need a full member or non-football member.

RE: Quiet time
The ACC is not going to raid the Big East. They are NOT going to bring in a non-FB school not named Notre Dame. Those schools wouldn't make much more money and be second class members with no voice in the league. If FSU is having trouble getting it's way how do you think those three schools would fare? I know the ACC folks like to think they can get whoever they want but I think the deal with Fox and being in control of a power league will keep all those members together. The ACC should just be worried about keeping it's current members together. Right now they look like how the Big East used to look...ripe for the plucking.
