It says $5 million per year. WVU insiders said $10 million per year on several occasions

It's stuff like this that has kept John Raese's political aspiration of being WV's Governor from being realized. The entire state knows he's a 2 faced SOB. He breaks every rule in the book, and then cries foul when things don't go his way. He got WVU's rights for free for years, and now he's lost 'em. So he raised a big stink about it...

Raese still won't get the contract. He's upset too many people to get any consideration from anyone at WVU. They don't have to take the highest bid either. Even if he produces the highest bid now, which probably is a long shot at best, his proposal won't be chosen. WVU will still end up going with IMG, since they are best suited to doing everything WVU wants and needs...

All this rebid will do is increase the amount WVU gets. IMO that's the most likely case here...

Sure sounds that way:

"While Payne has said he had no role in the negotiations, he told some media outlets that WVU would make $5 million a year under the pending contract with IMG. An attorney for the university later said the board had been briefed about the general financial details of the deal after the letter of intent was signed."

That number was confirmed by WV media. That wasn't some number the "insiders" pulled out of their butts.
