Not exactly FBS powerhouses. I'd say CUSA has a much higher ceiling than the Sun Belt will ever have.
You mean that same GA Southern team that put 1,250 yards and a 103 points on ODU in victories over the past two seasons? Hell, we finished 2nd in CUSA last year according to Sagarin. Looking forward to see what we can do with 22 more scholarships located in the state with the best ratio of FBS signees to FBS schools. I am proud our hometown GA boy Taylor Heineke has carried the ODU team on his back.
Out of 250 division 1 FCS and FBS programs none can come close to matching Ga Southern's championship success overthe past 30 years. 6 national titles, 2 more national title appearances.
We'll be fine whether it is the SBC, CUSA, AAC or wherever. We just win, baby.
And they were great games weren't they? If our offense hadn't faltered in the 4th, we'd have beaten you by more than 2 scores this past year. I think you can agree that if they're criticizing ODU, than most, if not all, of those criticisms can be applied to GSo since we're both strong FCS teams. Same with UNC-C and GSt, as the 49ers have no seasons under their belt, and GSt has never had a winning season in their entire history of football.
I do hope we schedule you guys soon, we're bound to win at least one of these games
No doubt two very entertaining games. Hope to play ODU again soon.

LA Tech has faired pretty well against the Sunbelt teams over the years - I don't know if any one of them has even close to a winning record against us.

Wasn't Tulsa ranked to end the year? If so, how'd they have a better year? Also, I think our bowl record was better as well...

ULL is turning on their own over there. They are seething with jealousy that they are being left behind.

The SBC schools that came to CUSA think CUSA is a life raft. The SBC schools still in the SBC think the SBC is a sinking ship.
Now as far as last year goes... Overall they might have been more even than even CUSA wants to admit but CUSA had a really odd season with USM's situation.

Lets all relax. In the grand scheme the average American football fan cant tell the difference between the SBC, CUSA and the MAC

CUSA now with it's new members is the Sunbelt 2 Conference. Southern Miss,UAB and Rice desperate want to get out to the AAC. The rest of the Sunbelt members, particularly theUniversity of Louisiana at Lafayette (ULL) and Arkansas State are on this board daily pimping to get into CUSA.

it isn't because of Tulane
I actually like the basketball in CUSA 3.0 better than CUSA 2.0

Who cares a bunch of glorified FCS teams and JUCOs think about anything?
I despise the new C-USA line up and want USM to get out badly, but there's a reason that EVER Slum Belt school that has been invited has accepted and everyone that is still there would accept in a instant. The Troy and ULM fans can pretend they'd turn down C-USA all day, but no one takes them seriously. Right now Belchers are arguing over whether or not they'd rather add Missouri State, Liberty, or JMU to such stellar programs as Ga State, Idaho, and NMSU. I'd rather play D-II then join that crapfest of a conference.

As long as we're still making a couple million each a year from television and conference revenue, have 9-10 games televised on Fox or CBS Sports and have access to 5 or 6 Bowl Games they can think whatever they want, I guess.

Maybe do a little more research? Your site is missing 5 games.
LaTech leads the all-time series with UNT 6-5, and LaTech has won 6 of the last 7 games against UNT.

I think App and UNCC should play every season. It could be a really good OOC rivalry. It would be boarder-line criminal if you guys don't considering the proximity and timing of the FBS invites.

RE: What Sun Belt members think of C-USA Schools
Seems like many focus on the SBC schools added to CUSA 3.0, but 9 of the 14 teams that will make up the conference have never played a down of SBC football. We are not the "new" Sun Belt.

I went and posted a factual type post there and they ignored it. They are not very knowledgeable fans and have little fact based opinions. I hope most SBC fans are not like the most of them.

At FAU we're used to people looking down on us. Whether it's Florida, Miami, Florida St, UCF, and USF, or the national media for when our linebacker said that it's possible for Bama to be beaten (not by us, but that they can be beaten in general. That still didn't stop the national media from slandering our entire program).
What CUSA teams play SBC teams (including the future member) this season? Can somebody get a list for me?
let's prove it on the field.
I think Memphis, Tulane, UAB, and Southern Miss are the only CUSA teams playing SBC teams this Fall.
USA at Tulane
Troy vs UAB
ULM vs Tulane
ArkSt at Memphis
TxSt at USM
NM
