...which is why I haven't understood any of the chest pounding/"my daddy can beat up your daddy" nonsense from either side of the discussion.
The fact that this is a CUSA board gives current/future members' fans more leeway in the "refereeing" or moderation of those discussions for sure, but the reason for starting or participating in them is over my head.
...just an average fan's opinion.

You're right. The NCAA vacated his Final Fours because he did everything by the rules and on the up and up.
I thought Memphis had come to terms with what a scumbag Calimari is, but I guess the Nile runs through Tennessee instead of Egypt. My mistake.

There is a reason I didn't even respond to his request. During my Tiger football career , I flew on 23 road trip charters. Not once did a family member of a player fly for free or stay in the team hotel at no charge. And, if they had done so, my head coach damn sure would have known about it.
The Tiger fans who continue to try and justify the bull$hit that took place with Reggie Rose just look silly.

While you put a game face on it, I think your real issue isn't what conference is better or worse--though I would take the AAC over Cusa--it's that UAB was never even mentioned in the conversation at all during conference realignment.
While by some, USM was considered to have been unfairly passed over, no one gave any conference's lack of consideration of UAB for expansion any thought at all.

I do not dispute the existence of past problems at Memphis, although the newly minted and elastic "strict liability" standard would snare many other programs. I think Memphis has learnd from past mistakes in the simular manner as current and future C-USA members have from their NCAA violations. Per a 6/22/11 article from "Inside Business", only 17 schools have never commited an NCAA violation. Kudos to UAB, Rice, North Texas, and FAU (playing since 2006) because they are among the 17 teams.
My comment was specially directed to your post which stated a "fact" that you still cannot backup.
Nevertheless, I will not reply further on this topic and spare the reader.

Much easier to post things as if they are facts than provide the facts. I hope TG4 doesn't have a Memphis degree, and if he does I sure hope he does not display it. I'd be ashamed to openly bash a place I graduated from.

I love the City of Memphis. Spent this gorgeous day on the golf course down there with some of my coaches and mentors from my Memphis State days. Never once felt threatened. One of them was Jeff Hammond's HS coach. Coach Cordell spoke very highly of his former QB and current USM Athletic Dir.
