It has certainly been all hype, all bust. I don't know if the problems been completely at QB esp the past 6 or elsewhere. So much talent all for nill.

RE: Pitt over the past 10 years
Certainly several years Pitt had the BE championship in its grasp and blew it. It might have been QB play or Defense or special teams. - take your pick but there was obviously a breakdown in one area (or several?) in many key games.

I certainly hope Chryst is able to turn everything around considering the 465 coaches they've had in the last 3 years. Like everyone else, I wasn't happy about the YSU loss but I'll be patient and I hope others are too. What worries me about that though is recruiting. Considering all of the turmoil in the program, the 6-7 season, etc. Anyway, let's see on what happens. Ulimately, recruiting is judged on the field and by the records and not in February and certainly not in May.

I mean, Pitt is due to overachieve right - how many years has it been that Pitt underachieved
- Damn you law of averages!

I personally feel that Dave Wannsedt was fat and happy in his gig and thought he would never lose his job as long as he remained around .500. This apathy lead to a sense of entitlement and dedication to work hard around that program. He recruited some decent talent on name recognition alone... (Himself and the school) thus we got some decent recruits, he had no idea what to do with a quarterback.
