Shannon, the MUQBCC president said that she asked the guy how many tickets he had left and she said he told her he had plenty of tickets in other sections. We will have 5k-8k there easily.
Thats bologna. 2 weeks after we sent them back they were available in section 1. 3 rows left. Even if they just sent the ones in section 1, thats 2k fans. 5k is pushing it. But that means we will be about 50/50 with miami fans

I watched this again. And realized that this turf is in BAD shape. I just hope one of our players doesn't get hurt playing on it. You could tell last year that our turf needed to replaced and it was during the off season. We've needed upgrades in the last few years and they are coming or have been done, but I don't think any of our facilities have ever looked like this and hope they never do. This looks like it needed replaced 3-4 years ago.
Instead of building a bubble maybe you should have replaced the turf before that project got off the ground.

Yesterday, local weather said slight chance of rain by end of game if at all. Todays report said rain by mid game and probably all the way home. Do your forecasts still say no rain??

Chance of storms late tonight, but we'll need to play five overtimes for that to be an issue.
Regarding the turf: since one of our two grass practice fields is unavailable due to the building of our IPF, we've had to practice on the stadium turf a lot more this year, hence why it looks kind of crappy in the video. The turf isn't very old (installed for the 2010 season), it's in good shape now that they've cleaned it and gotten it ready for game conditions.
On a side note, our new tailgating area sold out of available spots earlier in the week, not including the new student area. It may not be a crowd like we had when we played you in the 90's, but it should be pretty good for a team that's lost 16 in a row. FWIW, Marshall (and all visiting teams for that matter) will now stand along the east sideline in the sun in front of the student section, unlike in years past.

I sure hope so, cause the defense has given up some big plays but the Miami offense comes back and bails the defense out. On offense the blocking has let Cato take some hits.
RE: Marshall v. Miami (O). Is it too early to gear up?
I don't have a problem with the defense at this point. We did allow the one big play that our corner fell off, and Miami did put together a sustained drive for the field goal, but otherwise the d has largely controlled the game, though primarily because their line is not too strong. I do think Miami seriously upgraded at QB this offseason and is running a true spread versus that triple option they ineffectively ran against us last year.
I'm not happy with the offense's focus and execution in the second quarter. We ended with two 3-and-outs. We look to have a line advantage, I'm expecting more pounding running game in the 2nd half.
I am also hoping that Gunnar gets to see a number of snaps this year to gain experience for next season.
