Says he just couldn't make up his mind. Could have been grades, but I couldn't find an article stating that.
Also said he wanted to play as early as possible. Not many schools on that list would provide much opportunity for that.

Cooper SHOULD get 70-80% of the carries this year after how well he played last year. But after this season, Grayson should be the feature back.

I know he got injured his senior year and the word was he originally had grade/test score issues originally but must have managed to improve that enough. It's a huge pickup for ECU after losing a RB right before signing day to Tennessee.
