UNC-----------UVa
Duke----------Wake
NC St---------Clemson

If Notre Dame and Navy were to join as a pair (the only expansion option I want) both could be added to the Coastal and VaTech could move over to the Atlantic:

BC------------ND
SU------------Pitt
Louisville-----Navy
VaTech-------UVA
Wake---------Duke
NC State-----UNC
Clemson------GT
FSU-----------Miami

Why would you think this would be the right thing to do? The ACC has never done this (even when it made sense).

Knowing the ACC, they would just throw Navy to the Atlantic.

Done what, the right thing?

It puts ND in a division with the schools they have the most history with, sans Syracuse.

VT has way more games against Wake, State, Clemson, and FSU than the southern Coastal quad. Plus they keep UVA.

Navy also plays against the teams they have faced the most, sans Syracuse. Navy-Duke used to be a big game. Yes, I 03-lol'd too.

The only risk is a rematch of UVA-VT.......
