map of players on NFL rosters from various colleges
From what I can see, Georgia and Cal are big under-performers. Lots of NFL players, few big triumphs to show for it in recent years.

Miami might be the "winner" there, actually: Since joining the ACC for the 2004 season, the Canes are 66-47 with no BCS bowls, and they have 53 NFL players.
The wheels came off at Cal last year, but even with that awful season included, the Bears' record over the same time period is 67-46.
Georgia is much better than both, 86-32, over the same 9-year stretch.

Cincinnati (25) has the most in the AAC. UConn (23) is second, UCF (21) is third.
There are two P5 programs with the same number as UConn, and nineteen P5 programs with fewer than UConn. But some say UConn couldn't cut it in the P5.

Good point. Missed Miami way down there in Florida, LOL.

For all the trash talked about how much potential Maryland and Rutgers have going into the Big Ten, they both have decent showings in regards to NFL talent coming from their rosters.

A&M and Iowa each have 35 and haven't done much.

Universities are first and foremost about the advancement of human beings and the results showing that the University is successful at such.
This map is the most pertinent piece of evidence to show what programs truly are successful at the True Mission of these Universities.
They havn't done much? They both have given a very respectable number of individuals a future that many of them have probably dreamed about since they were kids.
Oh...but that doesn't matter.
