Please explain to me how using half of a newly refined logo on a helmet is an "upgrade".

Underdog, I don't see a half logo in UConn's new redesign logo, anywhere... All I'm viewing is a Huskie with out the ears at center of the helmet, but much aggressive looking to what they previewsly had... And "UCONN" at back of helmet which by the way looks clean and slick, a nice finished-touch, IMO.

The logo is missing the ears, nose, most of the face, and mouth, which equals about half the logo. The name UCONN had to be placed on the helmet or it would be unrecognizable. Don’t get me wrong, the concept is good, but the implementation is incomplete....
