Dreaming What if UC Played Northwestern schedule in 2013
Northwestern home games averaged 35,697 in 2012.
With a home schedule of Vanderbilt, Boston College, South Dakota, Indiana, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois.
Northwestern averaged 33,442 in 2011 playing Eastern Michigan, Michigan, Penn St, Rice, Minnesota, Michigan St.

What if UC played there schedule in 2013 or 2012 or 2011. What would the attendance be for UC home games? Of course the games would have to be played at PBS to achieve real increases over what NU drew.
Here is there home schedule for 2013
Syracuse
Western Michigan
Ohio State
Minnesota
Michigan
Michigan St
Conference affiliation is worth a lot.
What kind of attendance would UC draw for these games? What is your guess?

From a fan interest and attendance point UC would out draw Northwestern if they had the schedule NU has or had. My guess is UC would draw way more fans than what Northwestern would draw on any game played. Three of the 2013 games would sell out PBS for sure and the others would draw very well because of increased interest in the program. UC's program
You could say the same thing about Vanderbilt schedule and Duke's schedule. What a dream!!!! Doubt it will ever come true but?????????

How about people just show up and watch the CINCINNATI BEARCATS for a GODDAMMED change???

The program (basketball and football both) are stocked with blue-collar players that DESERVE our support.

This ISN'T about the teams we play. And if it is, that's a pretty sorry state.

RE: Dreaming What if UC Played Northwestern schedule in 2013
If Cincinnati had Northwestern's track record which includes years and years of losing to Ohio State and Michigan the novelty of playing those programs isn't there like it would be for a program that is itching to get a chance to play those schools.

Be careful of what you wish for in terms conference realignment and scheduling. Yes, there is desperate need to be part of a power conference; however, I wouldn't trade winning football and basketball for a lots of money to be average or worse. Its going to be interesting to see how everyone does in their new leagues. I don't want to be Boston College in the ACC or WVU in the Big XII. Virginia Tech football, Texas A&M football, oh yes.
