Probably will continue with its ebb and flow until we either get to the Final Four or Final, once again....fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your slant. If we do (and I hope we do soon), the memory of the Cal era should dim, somewhat. Obviously, that's just my 2¢.

However, I'll NEVER forget the anguish of THAT night in Quito. I'm sure I frightened the neighbors with my wail.

Did you wail in ingles or espanol ?

It was probably a bilingual lament. I wailed in my native tongue, English, but there was an expletive deleted or two in el Castellano. The anguish was primarily in English, but the volume was what frightened the manzana. 03-razz

I remember listening to his radio show BEFORE the Missouri game. He thanked people for being so nice to him during his time here and how things change, etc...I thought then, he sounds like he's leaving.

In early March, a salesman and big UK supporter announced to a local distributor that cal would be the next ky coach.

When you connect the dots, the evidence is there. I am glad when ky didn't make the tournament and though he happened to be in NYC the first week of the tournament, CBS or ESPN didn't call him to be their coach analyst. Sure that dinged his ego, maybe just a little, for 5 minutes.

His manipulation of RC and not improving the football program didn't help us at all.

I'll be glad when he goes back to the NBA, then the Grizzlies' fans can boo him when his team comes here.
Wow

I can remember some of these same folks wanting him to be the AD.

I don't believe so - we may have discussed that there are folks out there with that opinion, certainly, but I'm not sure I ever espoused either one.

Your nose is growing, amigo.

I thought it was Florida State .

Florida St was when he got ticked at the refs and took the team off the floor. Actually the only fixed game we had in 1985 was the Tulane game. And THEY threw it so we could beat the spread. That was either the only game or one of the few that wasn't televised that season. Tulane always plAyed us close under Ned Fowler, but not that time.

Funny thing is most folks forget about Da' Rat until something unfortunate happens to his azz (like losing to Robert Morris in the first round of the NIT) and then we cheer like drunken sailors. Nothing even close to resembling rage surfaces around here until somebody like "THAT NUT FUT" starts singing his praises and recruiting members for his "Salted Showers Club". If you think Elmer was bad, you should have seen what I had there at first Gomer.

Oh my! You call me crazy and then report me for saying you're a nut. A little thin skinned are we? Imma skeered!

No, Detroit. And Missouri, of course, if we change coaches.
