Perhaps you shouldnt worry so much about arbitrary numbers put together for a subjective poll. or maybe you should. who knows.

I don't worry about this kind of stuff, all I concern myself with is at the end of the season how many wins and losses the Owls have. The games are played on the field and really, at the end of the day is being ranked 61 instead of 91 anything to really pound your chest over?

I agree. It will be interesting to track this as the season progresses to see how accurate the "experts" are. The value, at this time (IMO), is in conference perception. Before a game is played, this is how the people who write about and disseminate this kind of info perceive relative conference strength.

Adding ECU, Tulsa, Tulane & Navy & removing UL & Rutgers, the AAC mean is 75.25----about equal to MWC (75.15) which sounds about right.

Makes sense, but the AAC should rise above that number as the incoming schools (especially 2014 ones) see improved recruiting for being in the new league. MWC obviously doesn't have that to benefit from

Agreed, but the MWC does add San Jose State & Utah State this year so arguably at least those 2 will see improved recruiting. It'll be interesting to see these rankings in about 5 years and how the 2 compare & how far the worst of the BIg 5 conferences has separated from them

I think all of our teams will improve slightly, but Tulane, Memphis, and Temple will see the biggest gains.

We may end up like the Big East ... no head or legs, just all torso.
