RE: Oprah Caught Lying
All Oprah has talked about for weeks is racism.
It comes to that in anything she talks about whether the supposed purse incident
or her movie, "The Butler", or telling us that Trayvon is a real American black hero in
her comparisons.

The Middle East hates us because we don't bow to Allah.

No matter what we do, we can't please them. And I see no reason why we should be trying to do that anyway.

If you think Europeans hate everyone in the US you haven't traveled much or when you travel you act like an American.

We have traveled extensively in Europe and have always been treated very well...but here's why...before we go to a European country we try to learn about their culture and have an understanding of it and how we should behave.

As an example, if you go to France and act like a borish demanding American you will be treated badly. However, if you walk in to a store or restaurant, greet the clerk with a Bonjour! (it's expected) and are polite whether you use English or French, they will smile and be helpful. The pace of work in France is slower so you should not expect fast service. It's just not their way. The way of life is just slower.

Yeah but I highly doubt you're a stuck up b*tch worth billions.

Sorry to burst your bubble. Not rich at all. Student studying abroad for a year...lived in an 8 x 10 student flat in Holland while at school. Scholarship from US school covered my costs. When we traveled we mostly stayed in hostels or occasionally hotels. Traveled all over on a shoestring budget. Paris, Copenhagen, Berlin, Zurich, Nice, Rome, Florence, Prague, etc. Never once had a bad experience but before we traveled we learned about the culture and we were always, always polite and did not expect Europe to conform to our American habits, we conformed to theirs.

Lol, you didn't burst my bubble, I was saying that I highly doubted you were stuck up (and you don't seem to be) or rich... You didn't feel the need to be rude. Orcah is used to feeling like a god with everyone kissing her feet for a house or car, so she took her bitchy attitude with her and got offended at the wrong people. Had she been simple and down to earth, she would have thought ahead like you.

sorry. misunderstood. thought you were intimating that I was stuck up. Orca may be a demanding hollywood type. Money tends to make one think very highly of one's own importance.

Hopefully we are not so conceited to believe that just because we believe something that everyone should have to believe what we believe.

I sure that is just part of the culture where Oprah grew up. You know, like dog fighting.
