Chris Fowler has the best job in the world
Gets to be a sideline spectator of one of the best games every week (remember Michael Crabtree's catch). His day is pretty much done at noon since he only has a brief 10 minute spot after the game. Also is at one or two BCS games as well as the Natl Championship.

Then when CFB is done, goes to Australia, which is in summer, for the Australian Open. Then Paris in the spring and London in early summer for their tennis tourneys.

That's a pretty good gig in my book.

Only guy who comes close is Bob Varsha who travels the world with F1 and other high profile auto races.

He does have a great gig, and he is the best in my book. I would love for him to step into Musberger's role when he retires. He and Herbstreit could hold it down for years to come.

Chris Fowler is one of the best in the business. I'm a tennis fan and when ESPN chose him to be the host of their coverage of the majors people were skeptical but he has turned into one of the best people on their entire tennis team. He's a true professional no matter what sport he covers.

More or less. However he does have to spend a considerable amount of time on Saturdays with a senile old man who is no longer capable of doing his job.

I wouldn't mind working on Saturday mornings if I absolutely loved it. Every time I watch him on GameDay it seems to me as if he loves his job.

The tough ones are when they do the West Coast shows that early in the morning and his body is telling him it is 6 am in the morning.

I'd put in a nom for Jim Nantz.

All the top NFL games- Super Bowl every 3 years
NCAA Basketball championship
Masters every year
other good Golf tournaments yearly including a 2nd Major

He might not be ahead of Fowler, but he's definitely up there.

I'd rather be Coach Corso, if he was younger and didn't hate the G5.

Good point but Nantz is "working" those events and I've talked to a couple of NFL play-by-play guys and been told that the level of concentration necessary precludes enjoying a game you call. Fowler is done by the time the games start. And when you throw in the tennis venues, it doesn't get much better.
