why can't the ACC win these SEC matchups?

Clemson is going to be smiling when they see the tape and how out of shape that USC defense is, though. I bet they are wishing they played earlier in the season. Surely USC will be in shape by midseason. Their O-Line is looking great, though. I really like their back, Davis. Good all-around. UNC is not a bad team at all at the skill positions; they are just getting the Notre Dame treatment. The lines for USC are just too big and agile.

Tech, Florida-Miami, and Vandy-Duke or WF. Hopefully in years to come when strength of schedule is a big factor for playoff selection, some of these "2nd" rivalry games can become annual and open the season.

Also, Va. Tech fans, what would you think about opening annually against Tennessee? I think it could be tremendous, especially with Bristol as a potential neutral field option.

The bottom line is that whenever the SEC's eastern and ACC's southern teams square off, it is a win-win-win all around.

I'd be all for that. Auburn and GT have played 92 games against one another; a great rivalry I want to see continue.

For the most part it's line play. The SEC gets the best players on both lines and anybody who has any clue knows it starts up front.

In this case it's that and the fact that you have one of the all-time best coaches ever going up against someone who got his current job based entirely on one upset.

Looks pretty accurate.

Front page of ESPN? "South Carolina and Jadeveon Clowney are showing why the SEC is so strong. "

Oh, and academics aren't a concern in the SEC

The one good reason is that all of these teams are going to insist on 7 home games and if you lock in 2 home and homes (even ignoring the Notre Dame complication), there's no room for anyone else.

VT has tried to play Tennessee. They won't come to VT. Bristol isn't a realistic option.

Vandy vs. Ole Miss just isn't the same as UNC/USC-e. I hope USC sucks it up vs. Hawaii so that game will be interesting.

Also ... told you the spread would be a terrible match for NFL caliber defensive linesmen. All you've done is clear congestion for 'em. There are only so many screen passes you can throw before they have that down pat.

Towson 26 - UConn 10. Less than 6 minutes left.

Solid game on FOX Sports 1 with Utah St. up on Utah. Chuckie Keeton has some skills. 2 TD throws, 1 TD run. Should end the night with 300+ yards of total offense.

Ah....yeah. Yup. Not worth it. They'll do their thing, we'll do ours. This one isn't over yet either.
