Well, weak for an average Alabama team.
I think you hit the nail on the head with the first part of your question. The A&M game was a clue...
That's why I question it... BUT, Alabama has a weak O-line, and A&M has a weak defense so going against a strong defense could be a bad deal for either team... I'm not a homer by any means unless I'm on my College Pick 'Em, but I really think LSU has what it takes to run the table, which means facing 3 current top 10 teams.
I think LSU can run the table as well. Mettenberger is playing like a beast so far, and LSU is flying under the radar...
The question is, will they do it? We shall see...
LSU with an accurate QB is indeed a scary proposition. The Bayou Bengals vs Oregon would be the epitome of a 'styles make fights' type of game.
When you can stop the long plays and red zone plays, you can easily defeat Oregon... LSU had an average offense in 2011 when they destroyed them... I guess for this season though, you're probably right..

You never know who will be standing at the end of the year, but Oregon's defense is a lot better now than it was in 2011.

LSU's defense isn't playing too shabby either, and the offense is head and shoulders above any they've had in Les Miles term in Baton Rouge so far...

So is LSU's offense.
