I really do feel for him. Has he been reliable under pressure in the past?

RE: The Most Important ECU vs Tulane Thread
The score was tied at 16. It was the very last drive we had in the 4th quarter that resulted in Harvey missing the field goal as regulation expired. Has nothing to do with the drive that Cooper scored on before it.

What I saw was Shane was already throwing the ball when they blew the whistle. The receiver was wide open, caught it, and was in the endzone, much like our last TD against UNC a couple weeks back. Didn't see if Shane got hit on the play (for reference to the possibility of blowing the call dead to protect him).

When I'm wrong, I admit it unlike a lot of posters on these boards. Either way, Tulane wins the game so Congrats to them. Consider the protest dropped.

3rd and 12HARVEY, Warren field goal attempt from 42 MISSED - wide left, spot at TLN25, clock 00:00.
3rd and 12Timeout Tulane, clock 00:03.
3rd and 12Timeout Tulane, clock 00:03.
3rd and 12Timeout East Carolina, clock 00:03.
2nd and 12COOPER, Vntvus rush over left guard for no gain to the TLN25 (GILBERT, Tyler).
1st and 10COOPER, Vntvus rush over left end for loss of 2 yards to the TLN25 (MONROE, Darion).
---> ***3rd and 1PENALTY TLN offside (MARLEY, Nico) 5 yards to the TLN23, 1ST DOWN ECU.*** <---
2nd and 1CARDEN, Shane pass incomplete to IVEY, Lamar (BATISTE, Jordan).
1st and 10CARDEN, Shane pass complete to COOPER, Vntvus for 9 yards to the TLN28 (ROBERTSON, D.).
1st and 201st and 10.
1st and 10COOPER, Vntvus rush over right tackle for 22 yards to the TLN27, 1ST DOWN ECU (MONROE, Darion), PENALTY ECU holding (HARDY, Justin) 10 yards to the TLN37.
1st and 10EAST CAROLINA drive start at 01:21.

He said he thinks Harvey is hurt, no proof other than his own opinion. Then suggests that Ruff and the staff don't want to know. He knows crap. I've seen Ruff with players in a way many don't. Last year after an away game they flew back, but a bus broken down. The team had to wait over an hour for busses to get there. Who do you think was the last to leave, was joking with the players and them joking with as if they were family? Ruff, he found out one had a new girlfriend and he made joke and then walk over and wanted to know more about the girl. He asked another if their mom's birthday was coming up. He truly cares about these kids.

That poster proved himself to be making up things with that suggestion that Ruff does care to know one of his players is hurt. There are many other examples I could point out to disprove his thoughts, but no need. He has an agenda, he used a lot of words to frame his argument and then suggests Compher was unhappy with the out come of the game and that he faces a decision. So, one game, one loss and the new AD is thinking of firing Ruff????? Come on man.

I know others that are much closer to the athletic department than I am, but he acts like he is inside the department. He isn't and doesn't know half what he says he does.

Or you can just keep queefing from the mouth.

And no, we lost the game for a few reasons. My point is that despite the missed field goals, none of it would have mattered had the refs gotten this one particular play correct at a vital time in the game (the last drive in regulation).

Enjoy the win. There's no reason to troll people who congratulate you.

I could argue you all day everyone that post on a message board has an agenda. While I agree I don't think anyone in fbs cares as much about his players as ruff does and I am his biggest promoter. Factoid does get inside information that the masses don't and he does put his money where his mouth is. My only point is that it is odd he did miss those kicks in a dome on AstroTurf. Time to just move on to usm

How was I trolling? And you only dropped your protest after other ECU fans told you that you were wrong. I stand by my comments of Good luck with the rest of ECUs season and you should just keep your mouth closed after y'all lose a game... nobody wants to smell that.

I had already congratulated your team and the way I read your post, it seemed you were asking for congrats. I have a valid complaint about a big missed call that affected the outcome of the game and if you know what happened and were on our side of it, you'd see what I mean. I congratulated Tulane. I dropped the protest because it's too late now to do anything about it. Realize that the other fans were talking about a completely different play than I was. It's hard enough to lose a game like that, there's just no reason to say you weren't congratulated the way you wanted to be- hence my comment about trolling. Not sure what you need to hear to feel better about it. We see the same situation differently. Let's leave it at that.

RE: The Most Important ECU vs Tulane Thread
Okay, I went back and looked at the play Pir84evr is talking about, and he's right, I was mixing up an offsides call from OT with an offsides call near the end of regulation.

Shane drew the Tulane player offsides, and threw a TD pass on what should have been a free play, except for the fact that the official blew his whistle.

It's up for debate whether the Tulane defender gave up on the coverage when he heard the whistle. That said, we had a couple of chances after that to put the game away and didn't. Congrats to the Green Wave.
