No it did not. I know some might laugh at this, but the #2 and #3 high school teams (both in Murfreesboro) in the state are playing about 2 miles from Floyd Stadium tomorrow night. Won't be surprised if there's 10k at that game. It's on TV as well. Should take a hit in the stands for sure.

And as stated earlier, damn cold. Other than when we played Mississippi State, 10/17/2013, game time temp 45, attendance 23K) we don't draw well at all when the temp drops below 50.

Tomorrow the high is supposed to be 55 at 3PM. Sunset is at 5:58PM. By 7PM, the temp is going to be 49 and dropping.

Planning on layering up and planty of anti-freeze (Jack Daniels).

I was surprised when my friend and I got 4 seats on the 50 yard line (2H I believe), 5 rows up, for $17/each on StubHub. I'm guessing between 1-2K Marshall fans will be there.

If you have that many fans, you will have brought the most of any travelling team in the 1-A era other than Miss. State and Tennessee State.

C-USA made us lose a section on the fifty due to a rule where students cannot be behind the visiting team. That's why those seats are open. They were not available to season ticket holders, either.

I think GA Tech had the most a few years back. There were easily 5k there supporting the Jackets.

You guys need a solution on that deal. Either:

1. Flip the benches so the students can sit there
2. Flip the whole sideline arrangement and put students on the other side
3. Turn the field around and build camera stands on the metal side so the cameras shoot back towards the original stands.

Atleast until you guys get it figured out and start winning consistently.

If the game was on a Saturday, I would guarantee at least 3k. Being Thursday night, most people have to take 2 days off work.

This should be a good game. Wouldn't shock me to see MTSU pull the upset. Marshall isn't very good on the road.

Before a few Marshall fans (HerdZoned, BleedsGreen33, MUATO, Banker) have their periods.... neither is ECU. We snuck out a win @ MTSU and lost @ Tulane.

Playing in front of empty stadiums saps the life from your team.

What is weird is that we play our absolute worst when our stadium is packed.

Not looking forward to the cold but I can't wait to get to your stadium. I expect a close game and hope we can pull out a road win.

I don't think MT's qb has what it takes to beat Marshall.

I definitely disagree that it's an excuse. As someone who has played competitive Basketball & Football in front of all sizes of crowds, I can tell you it's MUCH harder to stay amped up in front of small crowds. You feed off the crowd... period. Now, SOME individual players are wired differently and can overcome that, but to ask an entire team to do it is tough. It feels like practice, honestly.

Hey Bleeds. The Marshall guy above you agreed with me. Most sane people in this world would as well. Here's an idea. Don't walk around saying stupid things and talking about "curb stomping" teams 38-0 when you barely skeaked by a bad teams in the last game they beat 03-idea

Completely agree with you. We play horrible on the road and have since Pruett left. It is funny because we can play at VT, Purdue, ECU, and other places where the crowd is loud and aggressive and play toe to toe but go into UAB, FAU, Rice, OHIO, Memphis, and other places where there is little to no atmosphere and we sleep walk through the entire game.

You should try playing a game at Bowling Green. Probably the worst stadium and atmosphere in the country. Might as well be playing at a morgue.

Marshall simply does not show up against teams with no fans in the seats.

I don't know what it is.

It's a lot more disrespectful to say you will "curb stomp a team 38-0" in the conference than anything I have said in this thread. Especially when that team beat a team you struggled with.

ECU fans, will you please escort this douchebag back to ECU forums?

Middle Tennesse State's team deserves a lot more respect than your fans gave them. That's the bottomline. You don't like me pointing that out, don't talk about curb stomping them by 40 in a shutout when you've done nothing to suggest you can. I'd be more worried about even winning the game coming off the last outting.
