MT does not really care about football. I know we are new to the BE but it is clear MT places little value on football. We (1A football schools) have no choice but to split in 2010 and strengthen our new conference.

I think U are right there wilkie... I also dont think anything will be done short term for scheduling... 06 is set ... and i imagine 07 is for most schools.. just struggle with 08 and 09 then decide what direction conf is going to go in... make a decision now.. and u limit your options later.

Yes they have no interest in football in the BE office.Thats why there is a Toronto Bowl and a Birmingham Bowl.Thats why they helped Rutgers replace the Buffalo game with Ohio U.

The Big East can not serve two masters either. We will be splitting in 2010. Mike T loves the master he started with...basketball.

I never thought I'd say this ,but I agree with tigersharktwo. The Big East offices may not care enough about football to completely satisfy us, but they definitely care about football enough to keep the conference strong. You can't tell me that the office doesn't have some strong level of care for the football side. If they didn't they wouldn't have gone to bat for our BCS slot, and our Gator slot while gaining geographically strong bowls like the Sun, Houston, Birmingham and Toronto bowls. Not saying I want these guys as our future leader, but they're doing adequate jobs right now.

it was tongue in cheek remark. If C-USA has chance to place team in Hous, Indep, Haw or NM. I expect Bir might be left out.

Not going to happen CUSA will have access to basically five Bowls yearly and with 12 teams theyll fit the bill.
Expect the Birmingham Bowl to have, UCF,UAB,ECU,Marshall,So. Miss or Memphis yearly.
No matter who it is is better than staying home and watching TV
