Now that is what you call GROWN MAN defense. I don't think I have ever seen a team execute option defense so perfectly. That is how it is supposed to be done.

So Rice had first-and-goal at the 3 yd-line and comes away with nothing?
That's probably the game right there.

UNT is playing great. Rice OL quit after they couldn't score running 8 plays inside the 5. Looks like D wins championships. Tulanes D is better than UNT but it very close.

Rice throws an INT to put the game on ice.

Congrats UNT. Your defense was everything you promised and more. It's very good for the conference that you guys are for real.
Rice will be fine. Our defense will keep us in every game. We just can't afford bad mistakes. And we need a healthy Ross.

Wow, I'm a believer. Great defense reminded me of the Mean Joe Green days. I'm glad they're in the new cusa a great addition. I only hope that UTEP coach Kugler shows this game to his team and shows them how tackling is supposed to be done. That was a great exhibition on tackling.
Great game Greenies.

RE: Rice @ North Texas!!!
I did not watch the whole game but from what I saw, the UNT D is for real. Congrats Mean Green! Good win for you guys!
Question: who plays for the title assuming that Rice beats Tulane and assuming that neither Rice not UNT lose again and that the Rice loss turns out to be Tulane's only loss in conference play?
I would think that the tiebreaker would go to UNT, as their BCS ranking might be higher at that time... right?

Before the BCS tiebreaker comes who you beat in the east in descending order.
I believe that if ECU finishes ahead of MTSU, then Tulane wins the tiebreaker. If MTSU finishes ahead of ECU, UNT wins it. I don't think Rice can win it.
So, it's possible for Tulane-Rice to be meaningless game. Rice really needs UNT to start losing.

That is my interpretation of the rules, as well.
