Tulane vs ULL in the NOLA bowl
Looks to be a done deal unless Tulane makes it in the CUSA championship game.

"Louisiana-Lafayette has agreed in principle to play in the New Orleans Bowl for the third consecutive season, regardless of its result against UL-Monroe on Saturday or South Alabama on Dec. 7, a source close to the bowl told The Advocate..."

"Tulane is likely to join them in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome on Dec. 21, pending the results of this weekend."

Makes the most sense from a financial stand point.

RE: Tulane vs ULL in the NOLA bowl
Congratulations Tulane. This is the perfect bowl for both Tulane and ULL. I hope y'all have a big turnout, and I hope Tulane wins. ULL will probably be 10-2 heading into this game, but Tulane has played very well in the Dome this season. A 7-5 Tulane team beating ULL would do some serious damage to the Sun Belt's belief that they are better then C-USA.

+1

Makes perfect sense. Should be a good bowl. Go CUSA.

RE: Tulane vs ULL in the NOLA bowl
The Sunbelt is ranked higher than C-USA because the bottom of C-USA is larger and worse than the Sunbelt's bottom.
ULL thinks they deserve a more accomplished opponent....and a 10-2 team probably does. But welcome to college football bowl season on that. And they have an inflated opinion of how good their team is and their quality of Ws.
WE're not excited to play them because we could schedule them ooc whenever we want to.

ULL will probably need up 10-2, but they really don't have a quality win this season. The only FBS teams on their schedule with a winning record are Arkansas State and WKU. I like Tulane's chances in this game.

Yea, well, don't tell them that.
I think it's a really good match up. Their O with some high end skill players against our D that is good, but particularly good at stuffing the run. Our stodgy O v. their D, which is a sieve at times.
Yea, they'll have 3 times as many people cheering for them as we will...just the way it goes.

Why? Tulane's leaving the conference...

This should be their last game in the Dome...hope they win. 07-coffee3

Their fan base is a helluva lot bigger and a helluva lot less apathetic at the moment. So not really...

I think Cajun fans are selling Tulane short, but I don't think Tulane will have enough, either way I'm looking forward to the trash talk.

ULL just lost to ULM tonight. Guess they won't take a 10-2 record into the New Orleans Bowl.

ULL just lost to ULM at home. We handily beat ULM on the road. I am not saying that we are going to beat ULL but I think I just quashed your argument.

What argument did you quash....other than they aren't 10-2? Like I said, they have an inflated opinion of how good their team is.
I think we have a very good chance of beating them. They have no defense, and we can stop the run. I'll take my chances with pocket passing Broadway.
