You guys know better than to take personally anything we say to SJ. We're chipping away at his psyche hoping he cuts himself a little. Best not to look if you can't stomach a little blood.

PS I wonder if Marv has some interesting statistics on why ECU beat us today. Certainly having the 3rd biggest locker room was an issue for us, even if we are only 17th in concession stand wholesomeness.

Marshall did what they needed to do and more when the east division championship was on the line. That alone should get some kind of kudos from you for the master job they performed today. ECU is still a good team and hopefully will win their bowl game but sometimes a fan needs to man up and give the congrats the other team has coming. As far as you judging them vs ECU, that was taken out of your hands by the Marshall football team. Your judgement won't mean a thing.

For whatever reason, some folks inevitably feel that giving another team credit for beating their team, means some sort of admission that their program is in shambles.... it isn't.

It amazes me how hard it is for some folks to just admit that the other team deserved to win because they just were better and proved it. I guess some of us are just that delusional.

This is a conference Marshall did absolutely nothing to help make that championship game mean anything. No one else did much either. They delivered 2 of the worst OOC wins in CUSA which is saying something as bad as the wins were, and crapped the bed much like we did today to a 6 win MAC team. How can you then turn and say winning CUSA is a big deal when you did nothing to help make CUSA anything more than worst rated conference.

You can run down beating UNC or NC State but Marshall has beat 4 BCS schools in their entire history. Just put that in perspective. We got 2 this year and one is a bowl team. That's rare anyone around here does that so they were infact nice wins. We also beat a team they lost to in MTSU and finished with the same record vs a stronger SOS. I'm just saying who ends up with the better season is still not decided at this point. There is more football to be played and there are pollsters that will judge the seasons when they are finished. It's not my opinion that matters.

Personally I'm glad we don't have to go to Memphis and play Vanderbilt. That's the silver lining in all of this for me. I think we got a good enough resume and attractive of a fan base we could end up with a better bowl matchup.
