Did any of you catch the jacka$$ at the halftime of Marshall/ECU game when they were talking about the Heisman and Lynch from NIU?

He basically said something to the effect these lower division teams that are FCS don't play anybody of note and therefore aren't worthy of even going to New York.

Not sure if big douche or just an idiot that he doesn't know that NIU is I-A. Either way he obviously feels that way about the very game they were showing at the time. It's hard to be a fan of our schools. I just get tired of that SOS every week every year. I expect that from ESPN but not CBS Sports in the middle of one of the games between two of "these types of programs."

I said it earlier.. if there's a chance for Lynch to get the Heismann trip, it'll be this year. They want to make sure the non-cartel schools get "a consolation" prize for when this split comes up.

I saw it and I wanted to punch him in the throat. The fact that nobody corrected him said enough. He is another idiot.

Does that really surprise anyone? Seriously? The Mac doesn't have a national presence in college football and the Mac front office simply doesn't promote the conference in any way. They are essentially a bus league that has no desire to go anywhere outside their current setup. They are simply not forward thinking. That's primarily the reason why we got out of there. I can understand why the announcer may have mistaken NIU for an FCS school.

Bingo!

The Heisman is a popularity contest and rarely goes to the best player in college football.

I thought the same thing. The MAC is about to have 2 BCS trips in a row and some idiot makes a retarded statement like that. $1M per school TV deal, 1 bid conference: there's nothing that makes CUSA superior to the MAC.
