Yep, it should be 32 in a row for FSU. That list was from College Football Data Warehouse, so it is apparently wrong. Puts the whole list in doubt.

Florida State had to vacate its 2006 Emerald Bowl appearance. That means College Football Data Warehouse is actually correct. FSU's streak is officially at 7.

They went to a bowl even if they had to vacate the results of it. Most people still count it.

People can count it, but the record books don't, and neither can Florida State.

Actually we can.

Capitol One and Cotton bowls have large payouts. The Gator and the Outback are quality New Year's bowls as well. They have a better quality of bowl than does the ACC.

Well, free will allows anyone do anything.

Actually, the fact that the streak is listed in FSU's media guide could be interpreted as non-compliance/NCAA violation.

Per NCAA:
"To record vacancies for NCAA tournament games, the wins and losses of the penalized team are dropped from its overall record and treated as if no games had been played."

"In compliance with the intention of the Committee On Infractions penalties, all team and coaches’ streaks (such as wins, postseason appearances, team statistical streaks, and so on) are terminated by the vacancy of a contest."

"Schools are required to change their records in all ... instances to agree with the NCAA official records for schools’ and coaches’ overall won- lost records."
