Congrats to you. We got Scott so we should be alright. 04-cheers

We were kinda worried after his visit to you guys because his girlfriend tweeted about needing to apply to ECU.

Yeah it seemed like right after his visit things were trending towards us but once things went really quiet it started to become obvious he wasn't going to flip. Congrats on keeping him in the fold. 04-cheers

GF has him whipped 05-stirthepot

We would like to thank you for this one. Made room for a 3-star LB/S/WR/TE in Kaleb Harris. He and Devers came on a visit last weekend when the decided to flip from Cincy. As of this morning we did not have a spot for Harris.

I believe this was the best move for him. We are extremely deep at the DB and S position and I am not sure he would have seen a whole lot of playing time. Guys like 4-star Kendall Gant and 3-star Army All-American Demetrius Johnson that we took this class on top of who is already here would have been a tough go. I know you all needed help at those positions so it works out best in the end for all parties involved. Just wish he would have told us last night when he wouldn't return our calls so Harris wouldn't have had to hang in the wind.

I totally agree. Its great for both sides. UTSA gets a solid 2 star DB and Marshall gets a 3 Star hybrid player that could play LB, TE, saftey etc. You knew when Gant came on board there were going to be some shuffling going on.

With our large senior class all of our recruits will likely redshirt. Dye is a really good get for us and I think he was really moved when he took his official to UTSA this past weekend. More importantly is that Dye seems to be versitile and we can plug him in almost anywhere in our 4-2-5 defense.

You can't teach 4.3 speed. We are stoked landing this kid and getting into FL.

Our 2nd FL guy. We also took Justin Todd (LB) from FIU. Coker has nice ties in FL (obviously) and our secondary coach (Jeff Popovich) was a former coach at FIU

Well I don't know about football, but the dude's at least got enough sense to swim away from a sinking ship. That's apparently more than you can say about 18-year-old me.

ODU had a bit of great news today. We had one of our commited players not sign on NLIS day, and today he finally signed. Raul Martinez 6'5" 285 OG from Pasadena City College. Mr. Martinez is rated three stars and Arizona State was trying to lure him away. Our entire class is now signed, sealed, and delivered.

04-cheers

It also sounds like 4 players have also excepted an invitation to be walk-ons (two 3* and two 2*).
