TU v USM Observations
I'm not normally a big fan of PSJ, but he occasionally wins a game for us with his 3 ball. This was one of those occasions. The reason I am leary of his play is that it is so inconsisitent, as it is with most outside shooters. If they are on, its a big boost, if not, it is disastrous. But his double digit day made up for the absense of R Smith.

Most of the usual suspects played well, except BS who sometimes just attracts fouls. I was impressed with Woodard again, who is playing his best BB all year. and the reimergence of D Wright will allow us to go a long way in this conference if he keeps it up. He has the softest shot of any big we've had in a while imo. Harrison is a man among boys when he drives the alley and literally cannot be stopped unless he's fouled "hard". Those are the difference makers IMO. But the other contributors are coming through too. Ray is almost automatic from the line and is perpetual motion. Evans is inconsistantly good even though he isn't a particularly strong post - he normally gets the job done. Tim Peete has been a leader and a consistantly solid contributor.

So all those guys came through today and this was a complete team victory against a very good, tough CUSA opponent. Great win, especially wo arguably our most athletic player, Rashad Smith. When he returns (and I hope its soon) we are going to be one of the better teams in the league. Then comes next year when the competition becomes intense and the opportunities are immense. IMO we have the talent, skill and (the beginnings of the) maturity to go where we want to go next year and maybe even this season.

Season 2014 is here and it will be interesting to see the developement. I think there is a good chance now that we will have a winning year

Go TU!

I agree, we have a chance for a winning season and we should be on the upper level of CUSA........although there may be as many as 5-6 teams at that level......none of them that great. If we had a good true center.......Evans played a good game yesterday but of course he isn't a true center by any means....we could stand alone at the top. Without a pretty strong big man next year we will probably be lucky to be in the upper half of the AAC. A 17-12 or even 16-13 record would be a good year and this year, the Tourney is wide open......it all will depend on who is hot at the right time.
