This Is A Good Thing
I've noticed that during the halftime of the TU games, they are having these little mini-games between the elementary school league teams. I encourage this and would expand it.
Why? Because those kids get to see a game and may become future fans and possibly future players fro TU. It also ecourages their parents and friends to attend that game which increase attendence somewhat. TBH, I'd like to see this occur more often - maybe every game.
But I'd increase the program this way. Every weekendgame for instance, try to schedule a womens and mens game together - back to back - like Saturday's game was. Then you could have an elementary girls game prior to the TU girls warmup (or after they warmup and go to the locker room), then an elementary girls game at the half.
Then before the mens game, you could have an elementary boys game and another at the half and even one after the men play. So that would be a total of ten elementary teams participating, most of them would bring their parents and friends. So you increase attendence, encourage TU kids to become TU friendly and entertain the ticket holders with an enjoyable experience above and beyond seeing some fan from the stands try to throw up an airball from 6 feet.

RE: This Is A Good Thing
Another good thing.
I am watching the OU/OSU MBB game on TV before I head to the TU game and there are a bunch of empty seats at Gallagher-Iba. Both those teams have been in the top 25 polls at some point in the season, they both have thousands more students to attend their on campus games and yet there are many empties. So I think we need to view this attendence thing from a more positive viewpoint.
