Based on the quality of play in CUSA and your OOC schedule, anything over a 2 star is over kill for Marshall. You should be able to go undefeated in 2014 with open tryouts.

Marshalls been signing at the top of CUSA for years and has yet to do crap in CUSA. Their coaches have to color code the end zone so the players know which way to run. If things go as usual, half of those guys will be gone by year one--some will never even make it to campus.

You will have a hard time finding anyone on this board who thinks good kids are choosing Marshall because they can qualify at other places. Marshall is stuck n arguably the worst Conf in football with very bad media coverage. Why would a kid who can qualify elsewhere go to Marshall at this time?
