Seriously, hasn't it been proven many times on here that UTSA actually had the colors first. I mean documented proof, not fan lunacy. Oh and the hand sign, too.

Not exactly. It's true, we have given photo proof with dates, and UTEP fans haven't given anything other than "my mother remembers doing the hand sign when she was an undergrad." So it's undecided because they haven't found evidence yet. But let's not retread that whole discussion. Notice that the Miners brought it up again, btw. We are content to let it sit.
Getting back to the uniform: As a fan, I personally think the gray jersey and orange helmet are a special brand of ugly, but if the players like them, great.
UTEP has national televised video evidence of the pick axe, you guys have some dumb asses on wiki. UTEP had the colors before you chicas even played a sport.

Has UTSA announced when they'll be rocking these unis?
They usually keep that stuff pretty quiet until the week before so there has been no announcement. UTSA has been previewing a white helmet for a year or so that we have yet to see.
