Thanks.

Next up, the oldest entry on the list! (Any guesses on title/artist?)

131 Sky Pilot -- Eric Burdon and the Animals
132 I'm Trapped -- Bruce Springsteen-- Another reggae song? Anyway, saw him do this in concert and loved it.
133 The Weight -- The Band-- We miss you Levon!
134 *** on Feel the Noize -- Slade-- This was a big miss from last time. I did a taste test between Slade and QR, and both sound remarkably similar, that's why I gave the nod to Slade. Pretty impressive for a "glam rock" band in the early 70s. Still, QR deserves credit for dusting off this gem. Or do they? There's a great write up on QR's initial disdain for this song:

135 Start Me Up -- Rolling Stones
136 My Old School -- Steely Dan-- Talking about W&M, I thought they meant Annandale, VA.
137 Who are You -- The Who
138 Going to California -- Led Zepplin
139 Money for Nothing -- Dire Straits-- Overplayed a bit, but that's b/c it was so much fun at the time
140 More than a Feeling -- Boston

@ 135
--I really liked the energy and vibe of that song

@137
--the "who, who are you" chorus always seems to stand out for me in that one

@139
--One of my faves by them.

@ 140
--another classic track

No one guessed on the oldest entry. :(

121 The Way that You Use It -- Eric Clapton-- Love the song, loved the movie. Hey that's two entries from that soundtrack!
122 Let's Go -- The Cars
123 Roadhoue Blues -- The Doors
124 Diamond Dogs -- David Bowie
125 A Day in the Life -- Beatles
126 Summer in the City -- Blood, Sweat and Tears-- Another one I want to move up. Just good classical rock.
127 Suite: Judy Blue Eyes -- C,S,N &Y
128 Jailhouse Rock -- Elvis Presley 1957! Yes this is rock, just read the title! I would love to hear this more often. There's no reason it should be cast out b/c it's an "oldie". Put it on now and people will instantly smile.
129 Under Pressure -- Queen +Bowie-- Oh, and Vanilla Ice.
130 Pinball Wizard -- The Who

128-- Going to a party in the county jail.

I'm not a huge Elvis fan, but he definitely had some good stuff. I like "Kentucky Rain" but that's more of a country feel than most of his early stuff.

Ok, we're moving towards the Top 100, and frankly, every song in this next set could be argued that it should be in that Top 100...that's how good it's getting. Call it the Top 100 overflow.

So, without comment:

101 Bang a Gong -- T Rex
102 Suffragette City -- David Bowie
103 Five to One -- The Doors
104 10th Avenue Freeze Out -- Bruce Springsteen
105 Fire -- Jimi Hendrix
106 I'm So Hot For Her -- Rolling Stones
107 Life's Been Good -- Joe Walsh
108 Bohemian Rhapsody -- Queen
109 Nights in White Satin -- Moody Blues
110 Angel -- Aerosmith

RE: Top 500 (101-110)
Within two weeks of its release, every red-blooded American Boy knew the entire lyrics to Bohemian Rhapsody
the reason that song was included in Wayne's World is because it was/is a profoundly significant
song in rock culture, the scene in which it was feature was a typical 70’s experience.

I’m surprised at the frequency that I agree with Torches list, but I think there is a natural
generational disconnect due to a lack of involvement in the rock culture of decades past.

Although disappointing, I guess it’s reasonable that Chuck Berry would eventually be replace by Billy Idol.
It should be no surprise that forty years from now a message board list of top 500-songs will be void of any U2.

We're here! What's that sound? The Top 100 going 'round of course. The cream of the crop. And to start it off:

91 For What it's Worth -- Buffalo Springfield
92 Suspicious Minds -- Elvis Presley-- He's the KING. You didn't think he'd get just one slot did you? And forget that terrible FYC cover, the original rules.
93 My My, Hey Hey -- Neil Young--
94 All the Young Dudes -- Mott the Hoople
95 My Woman from Tokyo -- Deep Purple-- Would be much higher if not for that terrible piano ending.
96 Wish You Were Here -- Pink Floyd
97 Sitting on the Dock of the Bay -- Otis Redding-- I can't do what 10 people tell me to do either
98 Wild Horses -- Rolling Stones
99 Ohio -- CSN&Y-- Kent St still hasn't learned its lesson.
100 Another One Bites the Dust -- Queen-- 400 bit the dust actually. This song will keep people engaged for a long time

I remember the Kent State shootings, and the rioting at Ohio State.
That’s the kind of stuff that scares the crap out of a little kid.

I’m not sure how Otis Redding got on a Rock & Roll list.

I'm surprised, I really didn't figure #97 would be up for question. Always interesting to read different perspectives.

But we're waxing toward the top of the list

81 Lola -- The Kinks
82 Under My Thumb -- Rolling Stones
83 Twilight Zone -- Golden Earring
84 Bad Moon Rising -- CCR
85 Moondance -- Van Morrison
86 Shook Me all Night Long -- AC/DC
87 Woodstock -- CSN&Y
88 Long Distance Runaround -- Yes
89 King of Pain -- Police
90 Time of the Season -- Zombies

Bad Moon Rising.

Not to be confused with Bad Moon Rison, my personal nickname for then Falcons player Andre Rison.
