Larry Coker's resignation
During the Louisville-Miami pregame, I turned to someone in the Crunch Zone and said, "It's a shame about Larry Coker resigning as Miami's coach."

He said,"Where did you hear that?"

I said, "Well, that's what he just did in effect when he let his players go jump on the Cardinal at midfield."

It had nothing to do with jumping on that logo. Miami just flat out sucks. Period. They got blasted by LSU 40-3, they looked like crap against Florida State, and Louisville just rolled against them like a Top 10 team should. Unless they jumped up Florida State's and LSU's logos Miami is just badly coached.

It was a tongue-in-cheek jab at Miami, but it's also a symbol of answering disrespect.

As for Miami, I don't think they suck. I think Louisville is just better. I'd be very surprised if they didn't contend for the ACC title. Seriously. Virginia Tech might be the favorite at this point but Miami beat them down at Blacksburg last year and this year have them at home. Who else is gonna win the ACC? Florida State? Clemson? BC?

So Catsclaws would you suggest that your BearCats jump on the logo again this year? 01-wingedeagle

Couldn't be any worse than the last time we stomped on the logo. We could hold the Cards under 70 this time if we did it again. Looks like we may get the UL without Brohm. It may only be 49-7 as opposed to 63-0 or something like that.

Man that hurts lmfao

Come on! OSU's offense put up only 20 until the last ten minutes of yesterday's game. How many points UC gives up on defense is attributed more to the failure of the offense to move the ball than the quality of their defense. When the opponent scores almost half its points in the final 10 minutes, that's pretty much all about fatigue setting in.

Now, looking at the way your defense is playing (very much improved this year) and the way our offense is, you may wear us out in a hurry, if things don't change with us soon.

But, yes, if Miami sucks, we really really really suck. They're no longer a NC contender, but they hardly "suck".

This is really just wrong, but this was a thread title on the Miami board tonight.

Miami players could of brought UL players flowers during pre-game warm-ups....UL would of still destroyed them.

Sorry, but ECU was the most dispresectful of any of the 5 teams in my opinion. Spitting in opposing players faces before the game, when unprovoked, showed ECU was bush league that year. That was further confirmed by the tune of 59-7.

Here we go again with the jumping on the logo thing. This has become the stuff of legends.

As for UC - I'll reiterate it again - 1, that's ONE, UC player jumped on the Cardinal logo. Not the whole team. For that particular season, UC's standard mode of running onto the field, home or away, was to run out to midfield and jump and down in a tight group.

Since it caused such an uproar at UofL, it has since been revised. We sure don't want to scratch up anyone's paint job.

UofL would have beaten UC that year by a ton regardless if they stomped on their logo or not. UC had to put in a QB that had never played in a game before against a team with an offensive machine.

I hope someday UC gets to the point where they can lay a butt-kicking on UfoL and do it for all it's worth. It won't be this year, or maybe even next, but I believe that day will come.
