RE: If you could knock one team out...
I will say this team needs to refocus on defense. While the offense has been resurgent of late with bench scoring and all, but the Cats' tourney run will be dependent on their defensive play IMO. Good play on both sides of the ball would obviously be ideal.

I was just about to post about Michigan State. I hope we wouldn't see them until at least the second weekend, but I'd love to beat those media darlings.

I guess I sorta got what I asked for. Bring it on, Sparty!

Lets take out:
Harvard
Michigan St
Virginia
North Carolina (wouldn't mind knocking out Napier here) but UNC would give more national exposure
Florida
Duke

Some of you wanted to take out Sparty in honor of Kmart and the team that wasn't.....looks like we gonna get our chance. But first up, Harvard.

I'd rather NC State do that in the play-in games. Otherwise, that means X has gone deep in the tournament if it has to play UC.

Mick needs to play that card for the team. They should all be old enough to remember 3/9/2000 and all know of KMart. Show them the DePaul game from 2000 and THE BREAK that ended our title dreams.

Michigan State has been a bit of an enigma this season--probably due to injuries. I'm not convinced they're 100% healthy or that they're unbeatable. On the other hand, they have Final Four talent so size and depth would be concerns.

MSU is suddenly the media's darling, which will make it even more satisfying when we bounce them. Add to that the Kenyon effect. Add to that even though we are not BIG, we still hate teams from Michigan. Stay thirsty my Bearcats!

They play small a ton. Other than Payne their main lineup does not go over 6'5.
