Yeah, I'd prefer to have one who never shows emotion but is a good clapper. 01-wingedeagle

Why bring Major into it? This isn't a Major vs Bobby thread. It is possible for both of them to be mediocre to bad coaches in their own unique ways.

I wouldn't wish Lutz or Major on any program.

Who said I was talking about Major. You guys are reaching there. 02-13-banana
Well we know you're not talking about the fans clapping COGS

According to someone on their board, he'll be their next coach. No source cited though, so who knows. If State loses today, I guess we'll find out tomorrow or Saturday.

I don't think recruiting went down because the 49ers moved to the A-10, but because playing Cincy, Louisville, Marquette, DePaul, etc weren't on the conference schedule and I think it would have began dropping off even if they stayed in the CUSA - its not the conference it had been, as those programs had all left the conference for the BEast.

That said, their recruiting was real thin -- even by A-10 standards, which continues - our depth sucks.

Agree on the first part, but not your second point. I think we would have kept chugging along in CUSA. We had the BEST winning % of any team left in CUSA and the most CUSA championships at that time. There was still another major program in the conference with one of the best (but most hated) coaches in the country.

Charlotte in CUSA still would have been a compelling pitch that Bobby and Co. could have sold.
