Hard to blame them. They had higher expectations and they very much got hosed by the a$$holes at the NIT. Every one of the teams that tied for the championship in the regular season are playing in the NCAA or NIT excepts us.

And those guys played the toughest schedule in the league outside of Tulsa (based on the numbers). Hard to blame them considering how ridiculously unfair that is to them.

Good for them! They should be commended for not wanting to play in the CBI or CIT......yuck!

Don't blame them. USM did it a few years ago. The other tournaments are jokes and are nothing more than extra practices on the schedule. Our administration decided that if we were too embarrassed to hang a banner for it, we weren't gonna do it.

I support the seniors' decision 100%. As mentioned, MT got screwed with NIT. I mean... Utah and San Francisco over us?! Come on.

is this word of mouth? haven't seen this anywhere. and the coaches let the seniors make that decision?

CBI is a legitimate tourney. Should have taken that bid.
CIT is nonsense.

I respect that. They worked hard, those tournaments really aren't meaningful.

Quit trying to do what? Every goal set for the season has either been achieved or failed.

I am just going to come out and say it. MT is too good for CBI. Fans don't back it, players don't want it, and it's not even considered a real tourney. MT wanted NIT and deserved it. We got robbed. End of story. I completely back this decision.

I don't blame them.

MTSU seniors went 3 rounds in the 2012 NIT as sophomores & made the NCAA tournament last year as juniors.

CBI is a huge letdown right now.

if I have to explain the verb "trying" to you, then you've got bigger ploblems than simply being screwed out of a tournament berth. or, more likely, you are just extremely angry right now. probably just like your fine basketball team -- which is why you don't make these kinds of decisions when you are p*ssed off.
