You think BC U Conn would have been a good rivalry........

Did he choose the questions or was the interviewer afreaid to rock the boat? No questions about what will be done to keep the football playing schools happy and in the fold? Nothing about possible expansion? What about a question about contract details and bottom line benefits for schools? The interviewer should get on this board and find out what the fans want to know.

The football schools have always been "in the fold."

If the football schools have always been in the fold why is there always talk of the football school bolting or all the talk about the big split of 2010? I would love to hear Mikey T address it or give us his thoughts on it. He has danced around the issue but mostly ignors it like it will go away if you pretend the issue isn't there.

I've heard MT say several times if the football schools wanted to split they would have already done it. He has also said there are no expansion candidates that bring value to the conference. Just because we don't like the answer doesn't mean it hasn't been answered.

He can say that about expansion because he controls that...but saying if the fotball schools wanted to split they would have done it by now is not addressing that issue. Also the interview was for the fans...not administrators. Are you blind man? Look on this board and count the treads that talk about a split. Don't you think it is the job of the commis to address the concerns of the fans....I do and he missed an opportunity to do so.

The administrators control expansion as well. There seems to be some bizarre mindset among the fans that MT is this dictator that is holding the conference back. MT works for the Presidents, not the other way around. And there is no reason to think that his action have not been in line with the desires of the Presidents.

I would like a split too, but MT has pretty clearly stated his opinion that he doesn't think it will happen. I don't see how he has not addresed the issue.

MT dosen't have to address the FB issue right now with the BE on its current roll. He will have to address the issue if the BE goes into the tank all of a sudden though and I hope that that does not happen. It great to see the success after all the gloom and doom predictions. The issues surrounding the FB side will have to be addressed and solved by 2010. For now lets enjoy the roll and the moment. We have 4 years to see the BE issues worked out. 04-cheers 03-thumbsup 03-old 04-wine :band: 07-coffee3

I was the first person to reply to this thread. If you read my reply you will see I stated I have nothing against Tranghese. If you pull up every post I've made here, you will not find one post that in any way degrades him. I have not cried and moaned about expansion and or opposed basketball playing schools or called for a split. But I do read the post made on this board everyday and know what the fans discuss and want to know about. Based on that, I said this interview is useless because it does not address the issues that I see everyday being brought up on this board. I'm through defending myself on this cause I know it to be true wether anyone else wants to admit it or not. If I'm lying then tie me to a post and whip me 04-chairshot . But I'm not so find another whipping boy.
