There's the blatant hypocrisy of cheerleading for the ACC pilaging the BE, but then bemoaning about what conference realignment is doing to college athletics when the B1G takes Maryland from the ACC. His classless comments about the A10 recently, also were not surprising. Never mind the fact that the six A10 teams to make the tournament were a combined 8-2 against the ACC this year. Never mind that over the past four years the ACC has outnumbered the A10 in tournament bids by one 19-18, and if the Big East cavalry of Syracuse and Pitt hadn't arrived this year, it would have been the A10 ahead by one instead. There's no denying the ACC is a great basketball conference, and if he wants to talk up their teams fine, but he crossed the line when he disparaged the A10. There is such an unlevel playing field in college athletics, and what the A10 has done with the disadvantages concerning exposure and money is to be commended. Instead Ratface tries to diminish their achievements. Maybe instead of focusing on the A10, he should have been more concerned with the Atlantic Sun. That he's been bounced from the tournament for the second time in three years by a 14 seed couldn't happen to a better guy.

I've always thought that the A-10 was a solid conference.

If they do it's on them. If they don't it doesn't change the fact that Roy Williams runs a dirty program and Boeheim is an arrogant, mouthy worm.

Boeheim wouldn't know class if a truck load of it hit him in the street.

And you better be glad that Dabo does have class because if he hadn't have took his foot off the gas at halftime we could have picked our score. That said, I hope he remembers your douchebag coach yelling across the field at him and gives Shaffer a hint why Lonnie McMillan started calling Memorial Stadium "Death Valley".

you are completely delusional if you are gonna say he's classy because he didn't run up the score against cuse.

he went for it on 4th & goal with 30 seconds left in the half after having a 4 touchdown lead.......

but yeah since it was before the end of the half I guess that lets him off the hook.

this is one of the dumbest comments that i have seen in over a year.

oh how cute. still doesn't change the fact that you said dabo is classy because he didn't run up the score on syracuse ==> even though he did exactly that.

you are bashing jimmy on a thread about coach K. he donates millions to syracuse area charities, gets paid well below his actual worth, built a top 10 BB program out of nothing, staying at the same school as a player, assistant, & coach in an era where coaches are always leaving for greener pastures. he has done it while using unconventional methods of coaching. you wanna talk about not running up the score????? go look at jimmy B who even in an NCAA tourny put in guys who are 10-15 deep on the bench. it is one thing that jimmy B is notorious for to be honest. he takes "steeping off the gas pedal" to a level that only a handful of coaches have ever matched.

i know for a fact that jimmy B is 10x the class act that dabo is. and if you wanna find out what classless is go no further than your bathroom and look above your sink ==> you know that thing that is shiny and gives off a reflection. because I have known you for quite some time and you always seem to have it out for bashing cuse regardless of the sport. my first week on this forum you were my first "bad experience" when you went on a rant about how much you couldn't stand northerners. and at the end of the day there is a pretty long list of dbag moments* from you and TBH i am quite sick of it.

*consistently riding me for being a fan of multiple teams ring a bell?

all you have to do is look no further than this thread. it is about coach K and you go out of your way to bash boeheim pushing the issue with multiple posters and have yet to bring up a single reason/example as to why.

If he's as evil as everyone says, why would he care? He's not a politician.. his job isn't in jeopardy, and he's one of the best Bball coaches around.

He cupped his hand around our SG Akeem Richmond's ear and congratulated him on being such a talented basketball player and told him that he was a phenomenal shooter and really enjoyed being able to watch him play. He doesn't have to do stuff like that to get good press. It would be much easier to just get someone to put his name on a charity or something like that. Pretty sure he reached out to Jimmy V when he was struggling with cancer and Roy Williams with his health issues. I just can't buy this whole "coach k is evil" thing..

Other basketball coaches I really like include Josh Pastner, Cuonzo Marton, Tony Bennett and as of today Bob Hoffman for that awesome interview (and Jeff Lebo of course). These guys just handle themselves well pre and post game...that's how it should be done. In game emotions will fly, everybody who's every played a sport knows that.

i am with ya. always had tremendous respect for coach k. yes he has his faults but they are related to his being a fierce competitor not so much who he is as a person.

Don't look now, but the American is 2-0 against the A10 in the Dance.

Louisville looking to make it 3-0 against Saint Louis.

Maybe the A10 got one too many bids. Maybe SMU deserved one that went to the A10.

The A-10 is a VG league...probably better than the Big East and the AAC this year top to bottom.

Dabo didnt let up in the third. He kept trying to score in the third but couldnt. Not until the last play in the third. Boeheim has his faults, sure. But he never got a cop fired for doing his job and giving him a speeding ticket which he deserved for going almost 30 mph over the speed limit like Dabo did. Thats not class.

I asked because you threw a stat out there that was skewed as I suspected.

I asked which school you rooted for because I was too busy at the time to read through your posts. So which school do you follow?

Dabo didn't let up in the 3rd? Why is it then Sammy Watkins didn't hardly play in the period until the two drives of the quarter? It was clear to anyone watching the game that Clemson took their foot off the gas at the half and only stepped it up after yet another Syracuse player (Spruill that time) celebrated like he won the Super Bowl after a play down three scores when he sacked Tajh. Even then we were prepared to simply run the ball but on the very next offensive play we run Spruill acts like a clown again, so we attempt the only downfield pass of the half and burn the talentless Syracuse secondary again. Had we wanted to score all we had to do was go downfield because Syracuse couldn't cover any of our receivers deep. We simply ran past them.

We have covered this, so I'll keep it brief. McClatchy was fired for violating Town of Pickens policy regarding internet usage while he was on duty. He spent several hours making multiple posts on multiple South Carolina message boards bragging about writing Swinney a ticket when he was supposed to be out on the road working. He then filed a lawsuit that was later dropped courtesy of a former SC football player turned lawyer. Please note that the lawsuit wasn't settled, it was outright dropped.

I didn't say that Coach K is evil. I just think that he knows how to play the press to the benefit of his image. He knew that this was the 2nd big upset of his team in the last 3 NCAA Tournaments and moves like this deflect the enormity of the scrutiny. And it is working, every website with the story has gushed over Coach K's class.

I am cynical about this. I have played and seen plenty of coaches say one thing in private and do the right action in public. My alma mater (high school) girls basketball coach preaches the perfect coach act to the alumni and public, yet called one senior girl who rarely plays after she got whistled for a foul "disgusting".

Perhaps, some of my Coach K dislike stems from him passing Bob Knight and from him talking down on other conferences. I believe that Coach K knows that very few, in the media, have the guts to disagree with him or talk him down.

I hope that the sentiment was real.
