Rutgers will be bowl bound,but wil havel a tough set of games.On the road they will not beat Pitt or WVU.The road games versus UC and Navy can certainly be won.The home game versus Louisvile will also be a loss.The home games versus Syracuse and UConn are also ones that can be won.Thus Rutgers in season victory total will be in the 8-9 range.

WVU kept their 2 1st place votes. OSU took USC's 2 away and 1 of 2 for Auburn.
Rutgers actually went from 117 votes to 178, but the writers didn't spread out the wealth this week. 40 teams received votes last week, but only 35 this week.

Hows Georgia in the Top 10 after squeaking out with wins over winless Colorado and Ole Miss? Their other wins are vs WKentucky,South carolina and UAB.
They will be dropping pretty soon.

Glass is half full view: Back in 2004 who could have predicted that the Big East would have:
* 2 Teams in the Top 10?
* 3 Teams in the Top 25?
* 4 Teams in the Top 35?

3 teams in the top 25 isn't surprising, even by back-then standards.
The fact that one of those teams is Rutgers, and not Pitt -- now that's surprising

Power of their rank at the start of the season and the power of the SEC in general.
Using the USA poll for the sake of argument from week one: They started at 14 then went to 11, 9, 7, 9,and 9. They climbed to #7 and have slipped now slightly. Their first Harris poll was 9 and now 10.
They have not hurt themselves despite loosing their starting QB. Once again they benefit from the expectations and ranking at the beginning of the season and by not hurting themselves and winning. Next week will define them as they play Tenn. From there they have 3 more cupcakes in their schedule and Florida, Auburn, and Georgia Tech on their schedule so by the end of the season they can drop like a rock right out of the rankings. However as long as they win they will stay at 10 or higher based on their SEC schedule. Once again power of the SEC and high ranking to start.
