Personal Top 25s...
At this point we're almost halfway through the season which begs the question of where everyone feels teams should be ranked. I'd like to know what anyone who is willing to respond has as their Top 25.

1) West Virginia
2) USC
3) Ohio State
4) Auburn
5) Louisville
6) Michigan
7) LSU
8) Oregon
9) Tennessee
10) Cal
11) Texas
12) Georgia
13) Florida
14) Oklahoma
15) Notre Dame
16) Georgia Tech
17) Boise State
18) Virginia Tech
19) Nebraska
20) Rutgers
21) Missouri
22) Clemson
23) Wake Forest
24) Texas Tech
25) Pitt

Also Considered: Boston College, Iowa, Florida State

Honestly, how can anybody not put OSU number one with their schedule and how they have dominated thus far?

I like WVU, but they just have not played the schedule yet to put them at number 1.

WVU deserves the top spot...of course they had a much tougher schedule than OSU.

WVU has beaten Marshall, Div I-AA Eastern Washington, Maryland, and East Carolina...plus have a tough upcoming game at 1-4 Mississippi State.

Ohio State has only won at Texas, at Iowa, and home to Penn State, Cinci and NIU.

Of course WVU deserves to be #1 over Ohio State.

Anyone can see that!

Don't be a troll, he was being honest. Yet you come over here and twist his words. And I for one do believe in my humble opinion which you can't and won't change that West Virginia is the #1 team. I think once things shake out you will see this.

I don't have a top 25 but a top 9 (just threw Georgia in at #10)

1 Ohio St
2 Southern Cal
3 Michigan
4 Florida
5 WVU
6 Auburn
7 Louisville
8 Texas
9 LSU
10Georgia
11 - 21 a bunch of other schools
22 Rutgers
25 Pitt

KnightLight being that sarcastic is not even cool. WVU is a top four school according to the media and the coaches so #1 is not out of the question...regardless of the schedules.

KL was probably being overly sarcastic but FWIW, I totally agree with him. Ohio State under West Virginia? Are you people kidding me? While Ohio State manhandles an undefeated Iowa team and a then-number 2 ranked Texas team......in THEIR stadiums, mind you...and is currently undefeated playing in the Big Ten...West Virginia struggles against East Carolina and somehow I'm supposed to be inspired enough by that performance to have them number one?

West Virginia is a fine team, and when all is said and done, they could be in contention. But please, anybody that puts West Virginia ahead of Ohio State and Auburn and USC is biased to the point of being downright delusional.

Well said... anybody who has seen WVU and OSU play (and I've seen almost all the games by both teams) would tell you OSU right now is MUCH more impressive. There is no debate about it... and, to tell you the truth, as Kirk Herbstreit voted in the AP this week, I think Michigan has been MUCH more impressive than WVU as well [thus far]. If WVU finishes the year undefeated then the polls will work themselves out, but at this moment in time I just can't figure out how anybody could have a team besides OSU slotted at number 1.

I can see that possibly, but what about Herbie voting Climpson over UofL right now? No thanks.

I didn't say I agreed with his whole poll... but I agree with it in a lot of different areas. As far as Clemson goes, I haven't seen enough of them to make a judgement (I just know they lost a game). UL has been impressive thus far, but a lot of people are waiting to see:

A. How Brohm looks when he gets back
B. How good their running game will be when they play against a good defense.

I'd imagine that is why UL is still hanging around 10th right now, and after those questions are answered (most likely against WVU) they will move around the polls.

The voters may be waiting awhile then because I'm honestly not sure any Big East teams we'll play have a better D than Miami. Miami's O is what is holding them back right now. I know that 4 of UofL's 7 Big East opponents are ahead of Miami right now in scoring defense, ranging from 10 to 16 points a game given up, but I think Miami at 16.8 points a game given up currently might be better. I say this based off who's played who so far. Example, I don't think RU keeps holding teams to 10 a game once they play someone with a Top 70 offense, which hasn't happened yet.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Winner! Winner! Chicken Dinner!

Exactly...after the first MONTH of the season...Ohio State has probably "earned" the #1 spot.

No one is saying WVU can't win it all come Jan...but as of now, only a biased blinded fool would say that WVU deserves to be ranked AHEAD of Ohio State.

WVU's win over ECU was impressive. ;-)

I'll still pick OSU's win over Texas. OSU is currently number 1.
