"Show Me The Money"! Financial Consequence if Ed's Win
Another CFB tetonic plate shift, waiting to happen. The Ed O'Bannon case is arguing that the "'student athlete" or "employee" (since the new NRLB ruling, yet to be totally played out in the courts) should be entitled to licensing revenue when there likeness is used TV and ticket sales revenue, as well. Wintrop Intelligence has done a financial analysis of the financial conseqences, from the fall out from the Ed O'Bannon case if he should prevail in his court case. If numbers makes your head spin, the first link is not for you, it's a long and complex read. The second link is a much easier one, if you want the story background.
